My 10-year-old son has attended summer camp at the San Antonio Academy for the last four years and he gives it a double thumbs up. He loves the fun classes especially Lego’s, basketball, chess, Bill Nye the science guy, monopoly, cartoon drawing, medieval battles and so much more. He’s learned so much at camp. Every year, he picks his favorite classes from the catalog and adds a few new ones as he gets older. The classes are broken down according to age groups, which is really nice. (As he gets older he wants more challenging activities like designing computer Web pages – a class he loved last summer). I can’t say enough about how professionally run this camp is. The staff is excellent. They take great care of the children. They always know where my son is and they treat the kids very well. A nurse is on site. The staff communicates with parents. The instructors are excellent. They also offer all day care and provide a family-style hot lunch and an ice cream snack daily. Another plus is the interaction among the kids. My son has made several new camp friends, but he’s also reunited with some of his old buddies from pre-school and elementary school.
