Spanish camps range from cooking to full immersion
Posted by MomOnMars on March 24, 2011
I love it when friends ask me for information on camps! It tells me what people are looking for and how I might be able to gather information that’s really useful. Keep those questions coming.
Here’s this week’s question: “I’m looking for Spanish camps for my daughter. Do you know of any?”
I was a little surprised researching this one because I figured in a city like San Antonio, we’d have so many more options for Spanish-language camps. Not that I could find. But there are some. You might want to register as soon as possible, as I’m guessing these fill up fairly quickly.
Also – a reminder. I don’t run a quality check on camps, friends. I just deliver the information Be wise in your choices. And do your research. (In fact, that gives me an idea for another post!)
But I digress. Here are the Spanish camps I was able to locate. If you know of any others, please post them in the comments below.

These next two aren’t really camps…more classes. And not really Spanish language… But who doesn’t like to eat?!
- San Antonio Academy: Cocina Mexicana
- Central Market will likely have a Spanish Traditions cooking class like they did last year. But nothing’s been posted as yet.
And these two aren’t fully Spanish camps, but they do have a Spanish component.
If you can’t wait a little on your schedule, NISD and NEISD will likely have something to offer, but they haven’t yet released their summer camp schedules.
¡Tipo contento! (and feel free to correct my Spanish.)
