One of my favorite posts all year..where I get to pick the silliest, most fun, grossest camps around! Here are my pics for 2011.
Each year, I pick some of my favorite camps to highlight. Hope you enjoy!
The Awww, That’s So Cute Award: Waltz classes for kinder through 1st grade. Okay – I really want a picture of this. It’s got to be adorable! St. Anthony’s. One hour a week on Thursdays. Four weeks costs $65.
Most Original Camp: Origami camp from June 27-July 1 at Inspire Fine Arts. Cost $130 for half day.
Biggest Ewwwww Factor: Shark Dissection (thank goodness it’s only one day!) at St. Anthony’s from 9-12 on June 23. Cost $65. And you get to come home with a shark tooth necklace.
It’s a Gamble Award: Math – Probability in Poker at San Antonio Academy. That’s right…teach that middle schooler how to play poker. Ages 10 & up, half day, $99

Stinky, but Fun Award: Penguin Encounter at Sea World of Texas. Includes a sleepover. Do you know what penguins smell like? Been there. Done it. Slept with the penguins. Loads of fun…especially exploring the park at night…but woo-ey. Stinky. Ages 8-12. Full day. $225 with sleepover or $185 if they just don’t want to spend the night.
Yummiest Camp Award: Chocolate Adventure at Camp Can-I-Cook at the Young Chef’s Academy. Chocolate. Need I say more? Half day, weeklong. $135 for ages 6 and up.
