Knit Out & Crochet, Too!

If you like it, share it!

In the category of “that’s a neat idea”….how about taking your kids downtown and teaching them to knit this weekend? The event, dubbed Knit Out & Crochet, Too!, is free this Saturday at the Central Library, 600 Soledad, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. And that includes all materials.

It’s all part of the Knit-Out & Crochet events that were started in 1998 by the Craft Yarn Council of America (CYCA). With the help of volunteers, the goal is to bring knitting, crocheting and yarn crafts to the public’s attention.  Here in San Antonio, the Alamo Rows Crochet Guild hosts the event annually with hundreds of knitters and crocheters joining in. So whether you or your child come with rich experience and nimble hands or you’ve never picked up a needle or hook in your lives , there will be something there for you.
