Art camp scholarship applications now due for SW School of Art
Posted by MomOnMars on January 05, 2012
One of South Texas’ best art camps, the Southwest School of Art, offers annual scholarships for a limited number of campers. The camperships are based on need and artistic merit and are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications are being accepted now through February 10, and you will need a teacher recommendation.
A few things to be aware of…classes are for children ages 5 to 18, with half days only for 5 and 6 year olds. One and two week classes are kept small – just ten students each – and are taught by professional artists.
If you have questions about the scholarship process, you can contact the Young Artist Program, at 210. 224.1848 ext.331 for additional information. Fill out the scholarship application and mail it back to the school at 300 Augusta, 78205 or fax it to 210.224.9337.
And if this got you thinking about summer camp, there are several you can already sign your kids up for to beat the last minute rush. Here are four camps that are already accepting applications.
