Spring Break Camps – Sports

Your kids are probably already counting down the days until Summer Vacation. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. First things first, one season at a time.
Spring Break is quickly approaching and in order to ward off any week-long boredom here’s a list of some of your best bets of Spring Break Camps in 2012.
The Basics:
Where: Your Local YMCA facility
Who: Ages 5-13
How Much: $130 (non-member rate/$30 a day)/
$117(member rate/ $27 a day)
When: March 12-16 (M-F)
Prepare for adventure as the YMCA helps your child discover the great outdoors. Campers will enjoy all the favorites: fun activities, art projects, group games, and a special field trip. Make new friends, bring a sack lunch, and don’t forget your athletic wear. Stay active this Spring Break! Register at your local YMCA, online , or call 210-924-2277.
The Basics:
Where: Alamo Golf Club – 9700 Rochelle St, San Antonio 78240
Who: Ages 6-16
How Much: $80 per child
When: March 14 – 16 (W-F)
Is your child a golf-pro? Don’t worry, here’s his chance! The Alamo Golf Club is offering a day camp running Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday over Spring Break. Running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. your child will receive 9 hours of instruction, a registration gift, practice balls, clubs (if needed), snacks/refreshments, sunscreen, a pizza party, and the most important thing – Fun! Register in person at the pro shop, call 210-696-4000, or print the Registration form online.
Green Tree Tennis & Sports Camp
The Basics:
Where: Green Tree Tennis Club – 4721 Callaghan Road
Who: Ages 6-16
How Much: $125 – $198
When: March 12-16 (M-F)
With camps for tennis and sports in general, this Spring Break is a great time to explore a spirit of athleticism. Green Tree Tennis Club offers instruction in tennis as well as various other sports, including volleyball, basketball, and soccer. The sports camp also includes games, movies, as well as a limited time with video games. The Tennis camp is more intensively built to work on your game, separating the campers based on age and skill level. Also providing options for extended care and meal tickets, you can register for the sports camp here and tennis camp here.
