Got a kid whose brain is wired for tech and science? No worries – there are spring break camps that are ready to keep those gears turning.

UTSA- Interactive Technology Experience Center

The Basics:

Where: Applied Engineering & Technology Building (UTSA)

Who: Grades K – 8

How Much: $65 – $200

When:  March 12-16 (M-F)

Get in gear for some STEM activities this Spring Break! Whether you’re looking for a day camp or a full week camp, UTSA is offering a variety of activities to get your STEM-wiz involved in. Running from 8:30 to 3 daily, these camps offer intellectual challenges along with fun, hands on experience and exploration. Register online  to claim your spot in the camp!

Camp Humane

The Basics:

Where: San Antonio Humane Society- 4804 Fredericksburg Road

Who: Ages 7-11

How Much:  $125 (for 3-day camp)

When: March 13-15 (Tu-Th)

Enjoy your Spring with the Animals! Your child will have an assortment of hands on time with animals, hear presentations from animal experts, and learn lessons on proper pet care and humane treatment of animals. Not to mention games, crafts, and small service projects to benefit the animals at the shelter. Pack a lunch and prepare to get down and dirty sporting the Camp Humane t-shirt provided. Adventure Club

The Basics:

Where: The Witte Museum

Who: Grades 1 – 5

How Much: $230 (weekly non-members rate/ $55 a day)

$180 (weekly members rate/ $45 a day)

When: March 12-16 (M – F)

This Spring Break it’s all about nature…birds, beetles, and other beasties! Your child can investigate, discover, and explore the world around us by joining the Adventure Club at the Witte for a week or even just a day of activities, presentations, and exhibitions. But hurry! Reservations for this camp must be made 2 weeks in advance by calling 210-357-1910 (Full payment due at time of Reservation).

Engineering Camp

The Basics:

Where: San Antonio Children’s Museum

Who: Ages 5-10

How Much: $150 per child

When: March 12-16 (M-F)

San Antonio Children’s Museum provides educational and hands on learning experiences for your kids. This Spring Break your kids can explore engineering with PlayWell TEKnologies – using LEGOs! With sessions for two age ranges, ages 5-6 from 9am – 12pm, ages 7-10 from 1pm – 4pm, SACM will provide your child with engaging activities in a friendly camp setting. The camp includes museum admission for the camper and their adult, so arrive early or stay late to explore the museum with your child! Register online.
