…and summer comes to a close…
Posted by MomOnMars on August 23, 2012Today, we visited high school. Wait? Did I blink? When did Boy Genius become a freshman…he was just a toddler last week, right? We knew it was coming, but I don’t think it sunk in until today.
I can’t believe summer is over. How many things were on our bucket list that we didn’t get done? Regrets? Not for a minute. We had two fabulous trips to New York City, a couple to Austin and, of course, Twirl was introduced to roller coasters at Sea World. It was a full, fabulous summer.
There were so many wonderful moments, but some of my favorite memories were created at BlogHer. Not so much for the conference…but for the time I got to spend with my baby…just me and Twirl. There’s nothing quite like a mother-daughter bonding. Especially with mini-me.
We laughed. We cried. We got really, really silly.
Summer 2012
It’s good to know as my kids get older, we can still have fun together. ♥

My little guy starts preschool in 2 weeks. I feel like I just brought him home from the hospital! Oh wait, no, that was his baby brother
At least I still have one baby left in the house while the other is running off and growing up on me.

I hear you. You see, I don’t remember giving my kids permission to grow up. But they never listen anyway.
My daughter is about to start her last year of middle school, and I’m like you–where did the time go? Wasn’t I just helping her learn to walk?!

Thanks, Tori. It was a special moment. After all, how often do you get to put on your ‘stash and hang out with your baby?
