No Kid Hungry: Williams-Sonoma helps fight childhood hunger
Posted by Sarah W on August 09, 2012There’s something fun and pretty awesome going on at Williams-Sonoma stores around the country. Williams-Sonoma is partnering with Share Our Strength in an effort to help end childhood hunger in the U.S. And they’ve lined up some fun ways you can help contribute to the No Kid Hungry campaign.
Your first chance is this weekend.
On Saturday, August 11, at Williams-Sonoma (the La Cantera and North Star Mall locations are both participating) starting at 10 a.m. you and your children can enjoy making “Marvel”ous cookies, decorated with the Williams-Sonoma Marvel Comic Book Hero bakeware. You’ll have a chance to explore all of your child’s (and your) favorites: Spiderman, Iron Man, The Hulk and Captain America. For $5, your child gets two sugar cookies to decorate, take home and enjoy, while your $5 goes entirely to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Call the store in advance to register for the event (phone numbers below).
And it doesn’t stop there. The following two Saturdays, August 18 and August 25, Williams-Sonoma stores will hold cooking classes for children. From 10 am to 12 pm, your child will craft tasty foods for breakfast, lunch or snack-time. The cooking classes are $10, and again, it’s a donation straight to the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger.
Contact Williams-Sonoma for details and to register for the events.
