The 34th Annual Home & Garden show returns to the Alamodome Feb. 21-23. The biggest show in all of Texas, the show is bursting with great ideas to help turn your home and garden dreams into reality. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen, make your bathroom the spa of your dreams or turn your backyard into green paradise, the Home & Garden show has what you need. Making this show even more fun, visionary and tree whisperer Pete Nelson of Animal Planet’s “Treehouse Masters” will be making an appearance and hosting interactive classes throughout the weekend. In addition to Nelson and other interactive classes, the family-friendly event will feature a design challenge with three teams from the University of Incarnate Word competing for the best interior design and scholarship money, as well as a healthy living section featuring a fitness center and dance studio. The Baptist Health Complimentary Mobile Health Screening team will be on hand to provide health screenings and to help green your life, 400 live plants will be given away each day of the show. And of course, the show includes stunning interior design and home accessories; innovative home theater, game room, and flooring features; gardening seminars and classes that feature budget-friendly DIY projects. With all of that as well as wine tasting, an international food court, a cooking stage featuring local chef demonstrations and a live birds of prey show, there’s no doubt this family-friendly event is the place to be. Spring is just around the corner, so the show is a perfect time to make plans for everything you want to do to make your home and garden bloom.
A single ticket is good for the entire weekend. Admittance for adults 17 years and over is $9. Retired military and senior citizen entrance is $6.50.
